(2026) Site-specific Woodcut and ink on plywood, 230 × 100 cm Saar draws on Somali spirit traditions and women's ritual practices, using carving as a process of revealing what cannot always be seen. Rather than illustrating a spirit, the work creates a space where the everyday and the unseen exist alongside one another. Moving between print and sculpture, Saar brings together folklore, ritual and women's cultural practices through repeated acts of carving, allowing the figure to gradually emerge from the surface of the wood.
