Baati
(2026) Woodcut and ink on plywood, 140 × 100 cm Drawing on an archival photograph, Baati depicts women gathered at the beach alongside a spirit going about her day. Inspired by sunlight and the patterns of batik fabric, I used carving to create depth and dimension across the surface, allowing spirit and human to coexist in the same everyday scene, bringing together folklore and daily life.
